The Carbon War Room, a Washington DC-based global non-profit, harnesses the power of entrepreneurs to implement market-driven solutions to climate change. Founded by Richard Branson and other leading entrepreneurs, its approach is to identify the barriers that are preventing market-based scale up of climate change solutions and work with stakeholders to remove them and promote the free flow of capital for emerging technologies.
Part of the CleanEquity agenda will be devoted to marine transport efficiency and pollution. A plenary session chaired by Peter Boyd of the Carbon War Room will highlight the issues; a selection companies will then present technologies designed to deal with them.
