Mr. Watson joined Bode Technology in February 2008, bringing more than thirty years of executive experience in government management, research and program development. Under Watson’s guidance and tutelage, Bode Technology has been recognized as a leading authority in forensic DNA practices. Bode has won several awards of excellence, to include the Virginia Governor’s Award for Excellence in International Trade, and the President’s “E” Award for U.S. Exporters, which recognizes persons, firms, or organizations which contribute significantly in the effort to increase United States exports.
Prior to joining Bode, Mr. Watson founded aBear Solutions, LLC, and held senior management positions at Alion Science and Technology Corporation, formerly IIT Research Institute, where he managed Alion’s largest business unit, overseeing areas of defense operational support services, IT services, engineering and environmental solution, homeland security, and biological, chemical, nuclear and weapons research and development. Mr. Watson’s prior business operations also included numerous high-profile scientific laboratories. Mr. Watson earned a Master of Science degree in numerical science from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Western Maryland College.
