CARLSBAD, Calif., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Alphatec Spine, Inc., (“Alphatec”) today appointed Scott Wiese as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing. The hiring underscored the firm’s recently completed transition from contract medical device manufacturer to a vertically integrated orthopedic device company.

Mr. Wiese comes to Alphatec with over 20 years of Marketing and Sales background with Abbott Spine, Medtronic Sofamor Danek, BASF Corporation/Knoll Pharmaceutical, Pfizer/Howmedica Surgical Division, Glaxo Pharmaceuticals and Adria Laboratories. Scott obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree at Southern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management at the University of Phoenix.
