TCTMD -- One-year results show that bivalirudin monotherapy yields equivalent rates of adverse cardiac events compared with heparin plus a glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitor (GPI) in patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for saphenous vein graft (SVG) lesions, according to a substudy of the ACUITY trial published online August 19, 2010, in the American Journal of Cardiology.
