NeuroMetrix Launches Android App For Quell Wearable Pain Relief Technology

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NeuroMetrix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NURO) reported today the Quell^® app is now available in Google Play. Quell is an over-the-counter wearable pain relief device that utilizes proprietary non-invasive neurostimulation technology to provide relief from chronic pain. The device is designed for people with conditions such as diabetic nerve pain, low back and leg pain, fibromyalgia and pain associated with osteoarthritis. The advanced wearable device is lightweight and can be worn during the day while active, and at night while sleeping. It has been cleared by the FDA for treatment of chronic pain without a prescription. In a recent clinical study, 81% of participants rated Quell as improving their management of chronic pain and overall health, and 67% reported a reduction in use of pain medications.

The new Android app enhances Quell by providing the user with a real-time therapy dashboard, therapy and sleep tracking. Quell communicates with mobile devices running the app through Bluetooth^® low energy. There is also a Quell iOS app available on the Apple app store.
