Medicure Inc. Announces Extension of TSX Delisting Date and Application for Alternative Listing

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - February 24, 2010) - Medicure Inc. ("Medicure" or the "Company") (TSX: MPH) announces that the Toronto Stock Exchange (the "TSX") has agreed to extend the date on which the common shares of Medicure will be delisted from the TSX to the close of market on March 26, 2010.

In order to ensure the continuous trading of its common shares and seamless liquidity for shareholders, Medicure has made an application for listing of its common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange (the "TSX-V") or NEX. The Company anticipates that a transfer of its stock exchange listing to the TSX-V or NEX would occur on or about the new TSX delisting date.

The Company is continuing its strategic review process as previously announced on January 13, 2010.
