GTC Biotherapeutics Reports Fourth Quarter And Year End 2005 Financial Results

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2006--GTC Biotherapeutics, Inc. ("GTC", Nasdaq: GTCB) reported today its financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended January 1, 2006. The net loss for the fourth quarter of 2005 was $8.3 million, or $0.15 per share, compared with $7.5 million, or $0.19 per share in the fourth quarter of 2004. The net loss for the 2005 financial year was $30.1 million, or $0.62 per share, compared to $29.5 million, or $0.79 per share, for 2004.
