BIOTECHNICA Hosts iFood Conference in Hannover
Science driving innovation in food products
The “i“ in the name iFood stands for “innovation” and innovation is the watchword of the entire program. “The iFood Conference shows the way forward in the dialogue between science and industry. Our efforts here will help to develop new approaches that will effect a lasting change in the practices of the food industry”, adds Dr. Volker Heinz, Director of DIL and founder of the iFood Conference. Automation solutions for food production will also feature strongly in the program.
The Conference will also examine various aspects of the bioeconomy. Contributors will discuss how new technologies can help to accelerate the change from an oil-based economy to a bio-based economy. Key requirements include better use of natural resources, reduced water consumption, improved energy efficiency and the commercial use of renewable raw materials.
This year’s iFood Conference at BIOTECHNICA sets out to show how scientific theory is translated into industrial practice. A high-powered team of research scientists will be joined in Hannover by senior representatives of some of the world’s leading food companies. Together they will be shaping the Conference agenda and delivering the keynote speeches.
