Aribex Announces Leadership Reorganization

OREM, Utah, Sept. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Aribex®, Inc., the worldwide leader in handheld x-ray technologies, has announced a leadership reorganization under which the Board of Directors has appointed Ken Kaufman as President and Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Clark Turner, founder of Aribex, will retain his title as Chairman and CEO, and assume responsibility as Chief Technical Officer.

"I am absolutely excited to join Aribex full-time," said Kaufman. "We have a great, cohesive team in place. Our existing and future suite of products represents a truly disruptive technology, improving patient care along with other industrial and security efforts globally. We have accomplished many great things under the leadership of Dr. Turner, and we have a lot of hard work ahead if we are going to realize our potential. I am excited to embrace that challenge and feel fortunate to be a part of it."

Since 2009, Kaufman served as the part-time CFO for Aribex through CFOWise®, a company he founded in 2006 that provides CFO services on a contract basis.

"Ken has provided essential financial information and market analysis to help us navigate the treacherous economic waters of this recessionary period and bring us to profitability," said Dr. Turner. "He is well-respected by the rest of the management team and is the perfect person to assume this responsibility now. By turning over day-to-day management of the company to Ken, this reorganization will allow me to focus my efforts on the creation of future products and longer-term research and development projects for Aribex."

Kaufman earned a B.S. in Business from BYU and an MBA from the University of Georgia in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He was included in the Utah Business and Utah Valley Business Q's 2010 "Top Forty Under 40" list of rising entrepreneurs and executives and vSpring's 2010 v|100 list of the 100 top venture entrepreneurs.

In February, Kaufman published Impact Your Business: An Allegory of An Entrepreneur's Journey To Clarity, Cash, Profit, Family and Success, considered by many to be an essential financial handbook. He writes a weekly business blog on bestthinking.com, and has also written articles for the American Express Open Forum® website.

Dr. Turner is the creator of the NOMAD family of handheld x-ray devices, which have become widely accepted by dentists, veterinarians, and forensic professionals.
