Dr. John Kamerud Joins EMD Millipore's Bioscience Business Unit as Principal Scientific Director for Discovery & Development Solutions

Billerica, MA—July 24, 2012— EMD Millipore, the Life Science division of Merck KGaA of Darmstadt, Germany today announced that John Kamerud has joined the company’s Bioscience business unit as Principal Scientific Director for Discovery & Development Solutions based at the company’s St Charles, MO facility.

Where: EMD Millipore is the life science division of Merck KGaA of Germany and is headquarted in Billerica, Massachusetts. Dr. Kamerud will be based at the division’s St. Charles, Missouri facility.

Why: Dr Kamerud will serve as a scientific and technical advisor for clients and internal teams for development, validation, and application of assays to ensure compliance with scientific and technical goals and regulatory requirements. Dr Kamerud will also drive new technology and services strategy, and lead client development programs with a focus on expanding the large molecule bioanalysis capabilities and customer base.
