(NYSE Amex: KAD), a leading provider of innovative consumer health care services under the Arcadia HealthCare(SM) brand, today announced Health Alliance Medical Plans, Inc. will offer its Medicare Advantage members and high-risk Commercial members the opportunity to enroll in Arcadia’s DailyMed™ Pharmacy program beginning later this month.
The DailyMed Program will help eligible Health Alliance members eliminate the guesswork of taking multiple prescriptions by providing them with a 30-day supply of medications delivered to their home in pre-sorted packets marked with the date and time they should be taken. High-risk members who might find it difficult to manage multiple medications will benefit from DailyMed’s clinical team members who closely monitor the safety, efficacy and compliance of the medication therapy. The extra help and attention improves care while reducing health care costs.

Health Alliance and DailyMed will launch a collaborative outreach to approximately 7,800 Medicare Advantage and 20,400 high-risk Commercial members who are eligible for the program. Members will receive a letter and a brochure this month detailing the features and benefits of DailyMed and inviting them to participate. In addition, Health Alliance case managers and personal health coordinators will review the DailyMed program with members in case management over the phone. Physicians will receive information to help guide them in determining if Health Alliance members may be eligible and appropriately benefit from DailyMed.
