The 14 contracts signed in the second quarter of 2007 comprise a variety of hospitals, imaging centers, teleradiology businesses, and radiology groups. The new hospital contracts include 4 hospitals with a MEDITECH(TM) hospital information system. Six of the new ambulatory contracts included multiple AMICAS product lines.
Visionary Imaging, LLC of St. Louis, MO, is one of the ambulatory contracts from the second quarter of 2007. Visionary Imaging provides regional hospitals with access to sub-specialty radiologists to complement those hospitals’ local radiologists. A Vision Series(TM) PACS client since 2006, Visionary Imaging added the new Vision Series Financials platform to their business and is a new Insight Services(TM) client.
“These 14 contracts demonstrate that the market is continuing to embrace AMICAS’ commitment to innovation,” said Paul Merrild, vice president of marketing at AMICAS. “AMICAS’ new contracts, particularly over the course of the last three quarters, are a testament to our focus on delivering solutions that the radiology marketplace needs.”
AMICAS’ latest innovations include Vision Series Financials, Vision Reach(TM), and Insight Services. Vision Series Financials, AMICAS’ new Windows-based practice management software, is a next generation radiology management and billing software system. Vision Reach, which we believe to be the industry’s only zero-client solution focused specifically on referring physicians, uses the latest Web-based technologies to integrate the radiology report with key images to create a single “multi-media” report. Insight Services is a suite of services designed to accelerate the time it takes to convert receivables into cash, while reducing the total cost of operations.
“We are thrilled about our strong partnership with Visionary Imaging - along with our other new customers,” said Peter McClennen, president and COO of AMICAS. “We have focused our energies and resources on developing the best solutions available in radiology automation. Obviously, our significant investment in R&D has resulted in solutions that solve real world problems in radiology today.”
AMICAS offers a best-in-class image management platform for hospitals and an integrated RIS, PACS, document management, and revenue cycle management solution for ambulatory imaging businesses.
