Almac Clinical Technologies Showcases ePRO Technology at 21st DIA EuroMeeting

YARDLEY, PA--(Marketwire - March 19, 2009) - Almac Clinical Technologies announced today that it will be showcasing its enhanced ePRO capabilities at the DIA’s 21st Annual EuroMeeting located in Berlin, Germany, 23-25 March. Almac collects PRO (patient reported outcomes) data via the phone or web in clinical trials through its industry-leading integrated Interactive Voice and Web Response System.

The technology showcased at Almac’s booth (#1512) will include various aspects of the firm’s ePRO offering. The demonstration will include examples of patients’ access to the system via the phone and the Internet, showcasing the system’s ability to work in either Web or phone mode interchangeably throughout the life of a study. Web demonstrations will exemplify how Almac’s system recreates paper-based questionnaires on the Web interface, making it more familiar to patients that are using the Internet to log subjective data for the first time. Other capabilities being demonstrated include a ‘clickable’ body diagram that is intuitive and very useful for patients, as well as branching capabilities to support complex questionnaire designs.

Almac’s VP of Product Development Fritz Haas explains, “Almac’s state-of-the art integrated IVR/IWR technology platform is only part of our ePRO solution. Our clinical experience providing patient management and randomization services, biostatistical support, and clinical data through our IVR/IWR and EDC technologies enhances Almac’s e-PRO offerings. Our experienced project managers, biostatisticians and best-in-class alliance partners help our clients from study design to trial completion, including instrument selection, validation, linguistics issues, psychometric evaluations, technology set-up, and data integration services.”
