MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Aug. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Alexza Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALXA) today reported preliminary financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. The preliminary net loss for the quarter ended June 30, 2013, was $3.4 million compared to $7.0 million during the same quarter in 2012. The preliminary net loss for the six months ended June 30, 2013 and 2012, was $24.1 million and $10.8 million, respectively.
