San Antonio-based medical technology company AirStrip will work with Plano’s Vivify Health to develop a remote data-sharing platform to reduce hospital readmission rates for heart patients. The two companies’ platform will feature bi-directional data sharing via a near real-time, single point of access so medical professionals can improve clinical workflows and expedite care decisions about the health of home-care heart patients. A recent Journal of the American Medical Association study found a 25 percent readmission rate during the first 30 days for congestive heart failure patients, with 61 percent of those readmissions occurring in the first 15 days.
