NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acacia Research Corporation (Nasdaq: ACTG) announced today that its Thermal Scalpel LLC subsidiary has entered into a license agreement with Covidien PLC, Covidien Ltd. and Tyco Healthcare Group LP covering certain patents relating to surgical devices. The agreement resolves litigation that was pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas with respect to Covidien’s products.
