HealthWell Foundation Announces Ribbon Cutting for its New Contact Center Serving National Patient Community

Nationally Recognized Non-Profit Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate 75 New Frederick County Jobs

Germantown, Maryland, June 10, 2019 - Tomorrow, the HealthWell Foundation®, an independent non-profit that provides a financial lifeline for inadequately insured Americans, will celebrate the opening of its dedicated contact center. HWF Direct, LLC will help patients access critical - sometimes lifesaving - medical treatments. The contact center houses more than 75 highly trained representatives who serve as the first line of communication for as many as 26,000 patients, providers and family members each month who are seeking financial assistance for medical treatments.

In 2018, The HealthWell Foundation awarded more than $512 million to over 117,500 underinsured Americans who have high out-of-pocket costs for critical medical treatments.

The HealthWell Foundation, which is ranked number 41 on the 2018 Forbeslist of the 100 Largest U.S. Charities and number 50 on the 2018 Chronicle of Philanthropy list of America's Favorite Charities, will leverage the new contact center to expand the Foundation's reach and assist more patients across the country.
