Wyeth Wins Missouri Diet Drug Trial

MADISON, N.J., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wyeth announced today that the jury in the case of Bonnie Weston v. Wyeth in Missouri Circuit Court found in favor of Wyeth.

The trial began on January 10, 2006 before The Honorable William C. Crawford of the 29th Circuit Court in Joplin, Missouri. The plaintiff alleged heart valve injury from the use of the diet drugs Pondimin and Redux, once marketed by Wyeth. The plaintiff was represented by the Fleming & Associates law firm of Houston, Texas.
