"We are pleased to announce that WCC is implementing the MCC Imaging Performance Metrics," said Dr. Asli Memisoglu, director of biostatistics and data management at WCC. "Through our innovative WorldPro technology platform, WCC is committed to support industry-wide acceptance of MCC's performance metrics to help ensure best outcomes for our sponsors."
The MCC Imaging Performance Metrics Work Group is a non-profit organization made up of biotechnology, pharmaceutical and service provider organizations that work collaboratively to develop and implement standardized performance metrics aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of managing and tracking resources needed to successfully run clinical trials.
Additionally, WCC will offer statistical analysis of reader reliability, with metrics such as kappa and correlation coefficients, to evaluate reader performance and reliability. "It is critical for a study's success to have a high level of agreement across readers and good consistency within assessments made by the same reader," said Dr. Richard Walovitch, chief medical officer at WCC. "WCC provides the results from these ongoing evaluations to the client and the reading team in the form of a study newsletter, which helps to facilitate communication of case studies, reader performance, and operational metrics."
WCC representatives will be available at Booth # 1501 during this week's DIA Annual Meeting in San Diego, California, to discuss its application of the MCC and other metrics in imaging trials.
