Verastem’s Louise Phanstiel Named Commencement Speaker

Golden Gate University’s Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony

Louise Phanstiel will give the keynote address at Golden Gate University's (GGU) commencement ceremony for students who've earned undergraduate degrees from GGU's Edward S. Ageno School of Business. Phanstiel is a GGU alumnus, graduating with a BA in accounting in 1985.

Phanstiel serves on the board of directors for Verastem, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing drugs to treat breast and other cancers by targeting cancer stem cells. She also serves on the board of directors for Myriad Genetics and Cedar Sinai Health System. Before joining Verastem, she was president of specialty products at WellPoint, Inc.
