Valentis, Inc. Provides Nasdaq Update

BURLINGAME, Calif., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Valentis, Inc. (Nasdaq: VLTS - News) announced today that it received a Nasdaq Staff Deficiency Letter on August 23, 2006 indicating that the Company fails to comply with the minimum bid price requirement for continued listing set forth in Marketplace Rule 4310(c)(4). Therefore, in accordance with Marketplace Rule 4310(c)(8)(D), the Company is provided 180 days to regain compliance. If at any time during the next 180 days, the bid price of Valentis’ common stock closes at $1.00 per share or more for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days, Nasdaq will provide written notification that the Company complies with the minimum bid price requirements.
