AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Officials at the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) have announced the program for its inaugural Innovations in Cancer Prevention and Research Conference. Leading researchers, clinicians and community health experts in the cancer field will convene in Austin on November 16-19 at the Austin Convention Center. The conference will demonstrate the significant scope and reach of the Institute, highlighting topics and speakers that place equal emphasis on research and prevention and range far beyond Texas’ borders. The Institute, created in 2007 when Texans voted to commit $3 billion to defeat cancer, has grown to be the country’s second-largest cancer research grant-funding organization.
