NEW YORK, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Value investor Marty Whitman has taken a stake in Pfizer Inc. (PFE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) , saying big pharmaceutical companies in general, and Pfizer in particular, will likely post long-term growth despite a clouded outlook this year and maybe in 2007.
