The Cleveland Clinic and AxioMed Spine Corporation collaborated on the development of the Freedom® Lumbar Disc for the treatment of degenerative disc disease. The Freedom Lumbar Disc has been approved for commercial distribution in the European Union (EU) and is currently in a FDA approved pivotal Investigational Device Exemption study in key centers in the United States and EU.
