Forbes -- An idea for a groundbreaking technology can come from anything--even eye debris. It was “eye floaters,” microscopic grey globs that cast shadows on the retina, that inspired California Institute of Technology professor Changhuei Yang to create a lensless microscope that aims to change the way scientists go about diagnosing diseases and developing new drugs--for a fraction of the cost.
