State and local incentives as well as officials’ support for the type of work that Syngenta Biotechnology does in the Research Triangle Park were key factors in the company’s decision to locate an expansion here, a company official said Tuesday. The Switzerland-based global agribusiness company confirmed its plans Tuesday to add 150 jobs by 2018 and to invest $94 million in a new building in the Durham County side of the Research Triangle Park. The park is the location of Syngenta’s plant biotechnology research and development headquarters.
