Synergetics USA, Inc. Sells Its First Seven International Omni(TM) Units

O’FALLON, Mo., April 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Synergetics USA, Inc. announced that it has successfully completed all product labeling and regulatory requirements necessary to ship its Omni(TM) product into most international markets. Since the completion of this process, Synergetics has received orders for, shipped and billed its first seven international Omni(TM) units, representing the first steps into an ever expanding international dealer network that now includes 32 dealers covering 41 countries.

“Since the September 2005 merger with Valley Forge, we have placed a great deal of emphasis on constructing our international neurosurgical sales network. Over the past six months, our international neurosurgical sales team has been traveling constantly, establishing relationships with some of the top international neurosurgical distributors available,” said Gregg D. Scheller, President and Chief Executive Officer of Synergetics. “We had essentially no international distribution for neurosurgery when we merged. The strength of the Malis(R) and the Omni(TM) product brands allowed us to attract the attention of many first-rate distributors that we don’t feel we would have been able to attract with either product alone. I am excited as we watch this new opportunity emerge.”

The Company believes that the worldwide market for international Omni(TM) products exceeds $50 million annually. Prior to this, Synergetics has not participated in this market place.
