BOSTON, /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (“Blue Cross”) is monitoring the situation in the Merrimack Valley with great concern. Like all Massachusetts residents, we are focused on the safety of those involved, including first responders. Our member service team is on high alert and we are working to ensure that members can access health services and medications quickly and in locations convenient to them, even if they’ve been displaced. This includes allowing early refills of prescription medications as needed. “It’s critical that our members have continuity of care when dealing with such a devastating event,” said Andrew Dreyfus, president & CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. “We will do everything we can to ensure that members can get the care they need, when they need it, whether they have had to evacuate or they are staying in their homes.” We have also reached out to all Blue Cross associates who live in the affected areas to check on their safety and offer support.
