PHILADELPHIA--(March 11, 2015) – From a wireless thermometer that sends alerts, to an app that provides on-demand house calls, to a smartphone-based DNA detection platform and a contact-less and radiation-free breast exam, the University City Science Center’s Digital Health Accelerator (DHA) companies are changing the future of healthcare. The milestones achieved by these seven high-growth, revenue-positive startups will be celebrated at the first DHA Showcase, Tuesday, March 17 at Quorum at the University City Science Center.
The DHA companies – Biomeme, Fever Smart, Fitly, Curbside Care, Keosys, Pulse InfoFrame and UE Life – were selected from a pool of 69 applicants from 10 countries via a multi-stage process. DHA awardees received up to $50,000, professional mentorship, and introductions to a variety of key healthcare stakeholders including insurers, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and research institutions located in the Greater Philadelphia region.
