The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) announced to almost 1,000 attendees at their 2018 Global Site Solutions Summit that Chattanooga Medical Research and Envision Physical Clinical Research are the respective winners of the Site Patient Recruitment Innovation Achievement (SPRIA) Award and the Site Tank Award.
Ellicott City, MD, October 17, 2018 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) announced to almost 1,000 attendees at their 2018 Global Site Solutions Summit that Chattanooga Medical Research and Envision Physical Clinical Research are the respective winners of the Site Patient Recruitment Innovation Achievement (SPRIA) Award and the Site Tank Award.
SPRIA recognizes a research site that has developed and implemented an innovative patient recruitment program. Three finalists were chosen by an independent judging panel. After the finalists presented their plans at the Global Site Solutions Summit, the winner was chosen by a panel of judges. When assessing the plans, judges looked for innovative patient-directed initiatives that were unique, effective and took the campaign response into account.
Seth Mayberry, representing Chattanooga Medical Research, won SPRIA with a patient recruitment campaign on a contraceptive study that exceeded the enrollment goal of five patients by enrolling a total of eighteen patients. This feat was accomplished in one month for a study that was wrought with recruitment challenges.
The Site Tank award recognizes a research site that has developed an innovative technology solution for clinical research. Following the finalists’ presentations at the Global Site Solutions Summit, attendees voted to determine which technology solution was the most innovative and impactful. When assessing each presentation, judges looked for technology concepts designed to enhance, empower and improve the clinical research industry.
Claudia Gomes, representing Envision Physician Clinical Research, won Site Tank with an innovative dashboard that was created for billing compliance. The dashboard allows the site to track trial activity across their many facilities and ensure accurate billing activity.
“Participation in SPRIA and Site Tank is an opportunity for site excellence to be recognized by a large group of clinical research stakeholders who have come together to affect change,” said SCRS president Christine Pierre. “We are inspired by the innovation displayed by all who submitted recruitment and technology plans for SPRIA and Site Tank consideration. Congratulations to Chattanooga Medical Research and Envision Physician Clinical Research.”
The 2019 Global Site Solutions Summit will be held October 11-13, 2019 at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida.
