Roche Holding AG (ROG) is looking for alternatives after its takeover of Illumina failed, Der Sonntag reported without saying where it got the information. The Basel, Switzerland-based drugmaker is in talks with the research centers of three “large” universities that want to sell their gene-sequencing technologies to Roche, the Aarau, Switzerland-based newspaper said.
