Private Consortium Buys Former Pfizer Inc. Site in Sandwich

A private consortium has bought the former Pfizer site. The announcement comes almost a year-and-a-half after the devastating blow that the drugs giant was pulling out of Sandwich, affecting 2,400 staff. A consortium called Discovery Park Ltd, a special purpose group set up by property development experts Trevor Cartner and Chris Musgrave together with Palmer Capital, have acquired the freehold of the 297-acre site, now called the Sandwich Discovery Park. The site includes laboratories, offices and warehouses as well as 84 acres of park used for a combined heat and power plant and processing facilities.
