RALEIGH, N.C., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- PRA International, a leading Clinical Research Organization, has announced the relocation of its existing Berlin facilities into a larger, more central structure with triple the floor space and larger conference and meeting room areas. The move will accommodate PRA's increasing need for headcount within Germany, along with new personnel now employed following last year's acquisition of Pharmacon.
This new location will accommodate increased staff from PRA's early phase services (from the Pharmacon acquisition of late 2007) and support for PRA's full range of clinical development services. It extends PRA's German presence beyond that of the existing, long-established office in Mannheim, home to more than 150 employees. From Mannheim, PRA provides project management, comprehensive clinical monitoring, biometrics, pharmacovigilance and late-phase services.
PRA's Central and Eastern European Early Development Services business, headquartered in Berlin and with operational sites in Poland, Hungary and the Czech and Slovak Republics, provide a unique dimension to PRA's client offering. Specifically, they combine PRA's Phase I virtual model for early phase patient studies with PRA's Early Development Services (EDS) in the Netherlands and United States. With the success of this virtual model, and the constant need for clinical operations staff within PRA's Product Registration group in Germany, this office move will further enhance PRA's ability to deliver clinical service excellence.
