Torrance, CA (January 24, 2011) – Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the research and manufacture of advanced technologies for the separation sciences, will present a workshop at Pittcon 2011 on new methods for drugs of abuse testing using LC/MS/MS and GC/MS. Participants will get the latest information on Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) guidelines as well as updated drug lists and concentration limits. A new method using SPE followed by analysis by LC/MS/MS will be presented, which decreases solvent usage and processing time while maintaining high recoveries for all target drug compounds. Some common problems with new and emerging methods will also be addressed and resolved.
The workshop, “Emerging Drugs, Tests, and Analyses in the Toxicology Field,” will be offered at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15 in Room 409 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. A complete agenda can be found on the Pittcon web site under “Technical Program/Technical Sessions.” There is no additional charge for registered Pittcon conferees.
