It’s commonly believed that Europeans lead healthier lives than Americans. But anyone who’s been to Europe knows that in one respect, that’s not necessarily true: Smoking is far more common on the other side of the Atlantic, with 34% of E.U. citizens smoking, compared to 25% in the United States. To help alleviate this problem (and doubtlessly pursue a potential sales opportunity), pharmaceutical company Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) received approval from the EMEA today to market a pill named Champix that will help curb the urge to smoke.>>> Discuss This Story
