For those wondering how the use of chemical gas in Syria affects the US, here is a fresh hook – a Pfizer division is apparently having difficulty making pre-filled syringes that contain antidotes to sarin nerve gas and some US public health officials are concerned about obtaining adequate supplies, The Wall Street Journal writes. While the drugmaker and the federal government are making it a priority to obtain replacement syringes for the military, there have been shortages for ambulances and hospitals that stockpile these for first responders in the US, John Dreyzehner, preparedness chairman for the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, tells the paper.
