ALLEGAN, Mich., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Perrigo Company today announced that it has received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for over-the-counter (OTC) Polyethylene Glycol 3350, Powder for Solution. Perrigo is expecting to begin shipping immediately.
The product will be marketed under store brand labels and is comparable to Schering-Plough HealthCare Products’ MiraLAX((R)), indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation. Estimated brand sales for the product for the last 12 months ending August 28, 2009 were $200 million.
