PerkinElmer, Inc. Introduces Easy-to-Use LIMS Solutions to Simplify Product Quality Analysis in Food Industry

WALTHAM, Mass. – PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences, a global leader in application-focused measurement and analysis solutions, today announced a market-specific LABWORKS™ Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) package for the food industry. LABWORKS foodLIMS™ simplifies data management and integrates with tracing software to support compliance with regulatory requirements including The BioTerrorism Act of 2002, which requires food and beverage producers to trace their products both backward into the supply chain and forward through the distribution system.

LABWORKS foodLIMS integrates fully with PerkinElmer’s instrumentation and interfaces with most analytical instrumentation found in food laboratories. The packages come with a suite of software applications, interfaces and reports needed to address the core requirements of food laboratories.

To support food and beverage labs, a basic service package with installation and training is included. LABWORKS foodLIMS can be enhanced with additional applications and services to meet the individual laboratory’s needs.
