NEW YORK, PRNewswire/ -- Children’s Health Fund (CHF) is thrilled to welcome Elizabeth Goodman, MD, MBA, as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer (EVP/CMO) to further the organization’s overall mission of ensuring high quality healthcare for America’s most disadvantaged children. Dr. Goodman joins CHF during its 30th anniversary year in which the nonprofit has expanded its reach to children across 16 states at over 400 service delivery sites, its largest service base to date. Dr. Goodman—who brings more than two decades of organizational leadership, child health research, program development and implementation, and advocacy experience to CHF—is passionate about driving change toward a healthier, just world and has a strong desire to ensure that all children thrive. With her addition to the CHF team, the nationwide nonprofit is poised to positively impact the lives of even more children.

Dr. Goodman shares CHF’s vision for a nation where all children grow up in a nurturing context and are empowered to lead healthy, productive lives. “I’m absolutely thrilled to join such a vibrant and mission-driven organization where I can work with and for people who care about children, care about our world, and where we can truly make a difference in the lives of those in need.”

“Dr. Goodman is a welcome addition to our team and the Children’s Health Fund family,” said Dennis Walto, CEO. “Her career as a strong and caring provider and advocate for children’s health aligns with our mission and will greatly add to our positive core and committed staff. We are confident that, with her proven ability to design, finance, and lead transformative, mission-driven projects and programs, she will help us achieve our goal of ensuring high quality healthcare to more children in more locations across the United States.”

About the Children’s Health Fund
Founded in 1987 by Dr. Irwin Redlener, singer/songwriter Paul Simon and program designer Karen Redlener, Children’s Health Fund’s mission is to bring health care directly to homeless and low-income children and their families. CHF accomplishes this mission by expanding access to comprehensive and innovative primary care; reducing “health barriers to learning” that interfere with child development and school performance; responding to the needs of vulnerable children impacted by major public health crises; and improving the health and well-being of children through advocacy and public education efforts. Over the past 30 years, CHF has provided more than 4 million health care encounters, often in places where doctors and health care providers are in short supply.
