Active support of the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) ensures the continued vitality of the clinical research industry, said Marianne Plaunt, PhD, Vice President, Global Operations at Paragon Biomedical.
Paragon Biomedical, a global, full-service, woman-owned clinical research organization (CRO), has announced that Plaunt and other members of the company’s leadership and data management teams will attend the 2009 SCDM Annual Conference.

Plaunt, who holds a doctorate in microbiology, said Paragon’s commitment to innovative solutions is reflected in the company’s ongoing evaluation and adoption of electronic data management tools that allow Sponsors to customize their service needs.
Her participation in the professional society exceeds that of an average SCDM member. She joined the organization in 1998 as an active participant on the membership committee; served on the society’s Board of Trustees for three years, and was chairman of the board in 2004. Since that time she has served as a liaison between the organization and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
