Orbis International Announces Mary Jane Jamar as First Chief Human Resources Officer

Today, Orbis is pleased to announce Mary Jane Jamar as the organization’s first-ever Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

NEW YORK, Dec. 1, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Orbis is pleased to announce Mary Jane Jamar as the organization’s first-ever Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this capacity, Mary Jane will also join and play a critical role on the Orbis Executive Leadership Team. The new position strengthens Orbis’s commitment to creating a thriving team and company culture as the nonprofit works to combat avoidable blindness worldwide.

Mary Jane has extensive experience working across cultures to understand the unique demands of global HR practices and has an impressive track record with various nonprofits and impact organizations for improving organizational structure and innovating cutting-edge HR systems. She has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor and decisive tactician who creates and executes plans for maximizing human capital, develops strong yet flexible organizational structures, and establishes programs to support immediate and long-term objectives.

Mary Jane joins Orbis from Global HR Consulting, which utilizes a global network of partners to provide human resource management services to a variety of industries. Prior to that, she held the role of CHRO at Winrock International and at the International Rescue Committee (IRC). She has also held the senior HR role at Management Sciences for Health (MSH) and the World Wildlife Fund.
