Alcon, an international eye care and medical device firm with offices in Irvine and Aliso Viejo, is expanding into the old Western Digital headquarters in Lake Forest, a company spokesman said. The company, which has been in Orange County since 1989, already has nearly 1,300 workers here, including 1,100 at its manufacturing and R&D facility in Irvine at 15800 Alton Parkway. “We’re outgrowing it,” said Dave Jackson, a spokesman for Alcon, which is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas.
