Novartis AG, which yesterday said it would not rule out cutting Cambridge employees, now says Cambridge staff will be safe from cuts, according to a report.
Citing a spokesman, the Boston Globe reported Wednesday that the Swiss drug maker has no plans to include Cambridge, Mass. employees in a restructuring that will cut 2,000 jobs globally. Novartis announced the cuts on its earnings call, Tuesday.
After announcing the cuts yesterday, Novartis refused to rule out cuts to the company's 2,000-plus Cambridge workforce.
