Certain lots of Nova Biomedical’s blood glucose test strips may show abnormally high test results, a glitch that prompted a recall of 21 lots of potentially defective strips. Nova Biomedical recalled its Nova Max blood glucose meter test strips after discovering a glitch in which the meters displayed abnormally high results. The Waltham, Mass.-based medical device company reported that 21 lots were affected by the recall, asking any customer with affected products to immediately stop using the strips.
