New Lancet Study: Second Hand Smoke Increases Heart Attack Risk; Nymox Pharmaceutical (NASDAQ: NYMX) TobacAlert(TM) Product Detects Second-Hand Smoke Exposure

A new study published in The Lancet (Aug.19, 2006) from McMaster University concluded that exposure to second hand smoke increased the risk of heart attack in both former smokers and nonsmokers. People in the study with the highest levels of second-hand smoke exposure (22 hours or more per week) had a 45 percent increased risk of heart attack. The findings were based on data from 52 countries and over 27,000 individuals.
