Nasdaq Grants BIOLASE 180-Day Extension to Meet Minimum Bid Price Requirement

As previously disclosed, BIOLASE received notice from Nasdaq on August 9, 2017, that it was not in compliance with the Bid Price Requirements for its common stock.

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Biolase (NASDAQ:BIOL), the world’s leading dental laser company, today announced that the Listing Qualifications Department of the Nasdaq Stock Market (“Nasdaq”) has granted BIOLASE a 180-day extension to meet the minimum $1.00 per share closing bid price of its common stock for 10 consecutive business days (the “Bid Price Requirement”) for continued inclusion on the Nasdaq Capital Market.

As previously disclosed, BIOLASE received notice from Nasdaq on August 9, 2017, that it was not in compliance with the Bid Price Requirements for its common stock. Per Nasdaq rules, BIOLASE was afforded an initial 180 calendar days, or until February 5, 2018, to regain compliance with the Bid Price Requirement. Nasdaq has determined that the Company is eligible for an additional 180 calendar days to regain compliance with the Bid Price Requirement.

If at any time during the second 180-day period the closing bid price of BIOLASE common stock meets the Bid Price Requirement and provided that the Company meets the continued listing requirement for the market value of publicly held shares and all other initial listing standards, Nasdaq will provide BIOLASE with written confirmation that it is compliance with the Bid Price Requirement and this matter will be closed.
