Human organs could be grown locally when “Europe’s largest” medical research centre is built in Cambridgeshire.
The “unique world-leading facility” is due to set up base in Sawston, creating hundreds of jobs.
Though details of the firm moving in are scant at present – a planning application was approved last month, put forward by Aracaris Capital Limited – council sources say the base could be used for advanced stem cell research, and potential organ growth.
