DUESSELDORF, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--miacom diagnostics specializes in the development and commercialization of diagnostics tools for identification and differentiation of bacteria in acute infectious diseases. The company was founded in Duesseldorf, Germany in 2006 with the vision to develop faster and better diagnostic methods than the ones currently available on the market.

By successfully recruiting an international Advisory Board miacom now relies on a team of leading experts with professional experience to ensure further growth with the goal to become a truly global brand. Beginning this May, the Advisory Board supports miacom in all strategic and economic issues. Members of the team are:

Dr. Henrik Stender, scientific founder and former Vice President of Research & Development of direct competitor AdvanDx, Expert for FDA approvals. Over 20 years of international experience from all aspects of in-vitro diagnostic testing technology development.

Dr. Hiroshi Uchida, Former CEO Magellan, Chicago, USA, has more than 25 years of experience in leading change and transformation in the global medical technology and in especially in in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) market.

Fritz Reichenbach, Managing Member, US Investment Bank Healthios, over 20 years of experience in private equity and investment banking and long-time experience in the diagnostics- and pharmaceutical field.

Dr. Lothar Kruska, Head of Development, MVZ Labor Stein, Moenchengladbach, Germany, long-time experience and exposure to newest diagnostics products that he have been evaluating.

Rolf Ehrnström, founder and managing director, Ventac Partners, Stockholm, Sweden, over 30 years of experience in life science and diagnostic companies in many senior executive and advisory roles including CSO at Dako-Agilent, Gyros AB, Amersham Biosciences.

Dr. Henrik Stender is committed to share his expert knowledge to technologies, which will have the potential of becoming a true game changers in the field. After leaving miacom’s competitor, AdvanDx, he acted as an external advisor to various diagnostic companies and for the last 12 months he has been working together with miacom scientific team on solutions regarding the US FDA clearance and the development of new groundbreaking diagnostic methods. Dr. Stender has devoted his career on the FISH technology and is convinced of its potential to serve as a basis for other market-leading, next-generation molecular diagnostic products. In addition to Dr. Stender, miacom recently added Mr. Kenneth Oliveira to its US team. As a former Senior Director for technical operations at AdvanDx, he brings comprehensive experience and knowledge in customer support and will be very valuable for the establishment of hemoFISH Masterpanel as a preferred tool in the laboratory routine.
