MUNDELEIN, IL--(Marketwire - May 24, 2011) - With the southwestern Missouri city of Joplin now only beginning to recover from a massive tornado that tore through the town Sunday, Medline Industries, Inc. today announced that it is sending emergency medical supplies to serve patients in the area. The tornado damaged or destroyed about 30 percent of the southwest Missouri town.
“Pallets of medical supplies and bottled water are en route from our Kansas City distribution center to Landmark Hospital of Joplin,” said Scott C. Barbour, Senior Director of Operations at the Kansas City distribution center. “Once we arrive we can assess further needs and help facilitate further action on our part.”
