NORTHFIELD, Ill. /PRNewswire/ -- Medline has awarded $150,000 in its inaugural Medline Breast Cancer Awareness grants to six organizations fighting to eradicate breast cancer and providing counseling. The recently launched Medline Community Impact Grant Program for Breast Cancer Awareness drives awareness around prevention and early detection by providing support to organizations on the front lines of patient care. Communities Big and Small “These six organizations presented ideas to address big challenges. The work they do isn’t easy, and listening to their stories brought tears to our panel’s eyes. The extra support can help them continue to make a major impact on the lives of patients and their families,” says Karen Frey, philanthropy manager at Medline. The six recipients are:
New Ideas in Breast Cancer Awareness Medline and the non-profits will work together to track the progress of these programs and measure impact on the local communities. Since 2005, Medline has been uniting healthcare professionals, breast cancer patients and survivors. The company launched an awareness campaign in support of prevention and early detection and has donated more than $2 million to breast cancer charities nationwide.
